BUTTERMILK PUDDING

(KÄRNMJÖLKSPUDDING)

Ingredients (8 half-cup servings)

1 6 oz package of  lime jello

1 cup water

3 cups cold buttermilk

Garnish:

Whipped cream (or whipped topping)

Marascino cherries or fresh strawberries or cherry pie filling.

Bring water to boil. Mix in jello until completely dissolved. Mix in buttermilk. Pour into serving bowl or individual dessert bowls. Chill.

Garnish with marascino cherries, fresh strawberries or cherry pie filling. Serve with wafers or other light cookies.

Variations:

Other kinds of jello can also be used, for example lemon, orange or strawberry.
